Based on the award-winning play, REACH, by Ryan, this feature film adaptation was released in 2016. Written and co-produced by Ryan, it was directed by Stephen Folker and starred Nicholas Westemeyer and Julianna Sosa, with Westemeyer also co-producing.

In his debut documentary, Ryan explores Hawai‘i’s haunted and spiritual landscape through the eyes of master storyteller Lopaka Kapanui. From ghostly Honolulu streets to sacred royal grounds, Kapanui reveals the islands’ hidden lore. Blending oral history, eyewitness accounts, and ritual storytelling, Ryan honours the culture’s deep roots where legend, land, and living memory merge in this haunting portrait of Hawai‘i’s supernatural past.

Adapted from his short play, IN A FOREST follows Art, a former US Air Force serviceman who encountered something unexplainable in Rendlesham Forest in 1980. The story blurs the line between truth, fear, and belief. Through flashbacks, it explores psychological unease and how trauma and secrecy shape human perception of extraordinary events. A filmed version of the play was presented at the 3x10 Virtual Play Festival in NY and the award-nominated screenplay adaptation by Ryan is currently available for film treatments and options.
